Teens and Smoking

This series explores the many controversial choices that teens face growing up in today’s world. Issues are presented with the newest information on trends and the latest scientific research to educate teens. Each book provides a number of interviews and anecdotes intended to help teen readers vicariously experience the choices and consequences experienced by others in similar situations. The series does a good job of showing that there are developmental, environmental, and psychosocial factors that lead some teens to engage in these risky behaviors. Each book covers its information across four chapters, which are followed by source notes, a list of organizations to contact, picture credits, and a short blurb about each author.
