A History of Racism in America

Racism against Blacks, Native Americans, Hispanics, and Asians has been a part of American history from the beginning. Despite legislation passed in the 1960s and 1970s intended to end discrimination, the systems created by past government policies and practices continue to deny many minorities equal opportunities in housing, education, criminal justice, and health care.
